Happiness, Good Fortune and Rainbows - Hamsa Hand SunCatcher

This divine suncatcher features chandelier pieces that are aligned with the colours of the chakras.  The base of each of them features a stunning Crystal prism that when the light hits it will sparkle rainbows everywhere.

The divine Hamsa Hand is beautifully enamelled and features the 'evil eye' which is said to be a protective amulet.  The Hamsa Hand is a universal sign of protection, power and strength that dates back to ancient Mesopotamia.  

The word "Hamsa" means "five", representing, the fingers of the right hand.  For Hindus and Buddhists, it symbolises chakras and the energy flow in the body, the five senses and the mudras that affect them.

Each finger connects to an element and a chakra:

• Thumb - Fire element - solar plexus (navel) chakra.
• Forefinger - Air element - heart chakra.
• Middle Finger - Ethereal elements - throat chakra.
• Ring Finger - Earth element - root chakra.
• Pinky Finger - Water element - sacral chakra.

This Hamsa Hand on this SunCatcher is facing downwards (Varada Mudra) and is said to open you up to all of the abundance and goodness of the Universe, welcoming them into your life.  Hand facing down is also said to bring answers to prayer and manifestations and the fingers closed together is said to bring additional good luck.

This gorgeous SunCatcher has two different ways of hanging, there is a little hook and also a little bail that you can then hang on a wall hook.  With the ball chain and hook fully extended this SunCatcher measures 52cm (20½”) at its longest point.
