Silver Filigree and Turquoise Journal - Lined Book

This is a magical journal.  I have shown this on Day 18 of 100 Days of Showing Up which you can see on my Facebook or IGTV on Instagram.

The binding on this journal is inspired by a 1697 French binding of Johann Arndt's Paradiesgaertlein.

"Filigree" describes an art form that is achieved by first die cutting a base layer of silver sheets and then meticulously etching elaborate grooves into its surface.

I love how 'tactile' and beautiful to touch this stunning journal is, it has the most gorgeous antique silver clasp on it too, and a beautiful ribbon to 'hold your space' in the book.

Every page is a beautiful texture and is fully lined and beautiful to write on and has a gorgeous patterned edge.

The book itself measures 18cm x 13cm x 2.5cm and as earlier mentioned it is lined.  It has 240 pages.  It also has a little pouch in the back of the book for you to store a note or two or perhaps a dried flower.

It is a 'weighty book' at 420gm yet it is small enough for you to put in a handbag and take somewhere with you to sit and write.  I love it's weight actually, it feels like the most substantial journal to hold my thoughts :)

I will pull an affirmation card for every person who purchases the journal and will write this in a note (that can be removed if you prefer, or popped into the pouch at the back) within your book.
